Segenhoe's last start Listed Queensland Cup winner Iggi Pop returns on Saturday in the Dooleys Handicap over 1800m.
Saturday's Premier's Cup Prelude at Rosehill will see the re-emergence of Queensland Cup winner Iggi Pop as well as the Australian debut of the well-performed import Bonfire.
Bonfire won the Group II Dante Stakes at York in 2012 and was placed twice at Group III level last season.
The six-year-old was subsequently transferred to the Gai Waterhouse stable and completed his final piece of trackwork on Tuesday.
Bonfire worked with stablemate Hydro from the 1200 metre mark with the pair clocking 37.5 seconds for their last 600 metres and 12.2 seconds for the final 200 metres.
It was one of the quickest final splits of the morning.
"Bonfire is an exciting horse that has really improved since being out here," Waterhouse said.
"He'll be very hard to beat on Saturday."
Iggi Pop worked solo covering 800 metres in 54.5 seconds quickening through his last 200 metres in 12.8 seconds.
"I'm really happy with how he's come back and there's definitely some residual fitness after a short break," trainer John Sargent said.
"The trip up to Queensland did him a lot of good."
