David Hayes and Fairway Thoroughbreds will take one of their promising fillies to Geelong for the second time this month, following a tried-and-true path.
Clockwork Orange will try to add to her last-start win at Racing.com Park, when tackling the Geelong synthetic in the IGA Liquor Father's Day 4th September BM64 Handicap (1300m) on Tuesday.
The daughter of More Than Ready runs three weeks to the day after So Serene, another Hayes-Fairway prospect, broke her maiden at the track in impressive fashion.
Clockwork Orange has come through the Listed Lightning Stakes in Adelaide, which has produced strong form lines since through Viddora and Ocean Embers.
Clockwork Orange has nominations for the Thousand Guineas and Caulfield Classic.
Other fillies on Tuesday's card with the same nominations include Darren Weir's Chez Dumonet and Mike Moroney's Sognani (both Race 3), and Hayes' Taqareed (Race 4).
Also in Race 4 is debutant Kothu Rotti, who holds a Caulfield Guineas and Caulfield Classic nomination, for John McArdle.
There are two horses in the same boat in Race 2, with Hayes' The Lunch and Dan O'Sullivan's Atomic Blast also holding noms for the feature three-year-old races in the spring.
