Segenhoe Racing is an integral part of the Segenhoe business. Segenhoe's racing manager is former multiple Group One winning trainer - Bill Mitchell.
With horses racing on a regular basis at various carnivals throughout Australia, we pride ourselves on their performances on the track.
We have horses racing in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
- Stakes winners raced by Segenhoe in recent times include Aussies Love Sport, Anatina, Bound For Earth, Centre Pivot, Deer Valley, Eloping, Girl Hussler, Hurtle Murtle, Iggi Pop, Miss Stellabelle, Mimi Lebrock, My Chicharita, Ninth Legion, Sagaronne, Sister Madly, Swiss Rose, True Blonde, Whistling Dixie along with Voodoo Lad and the G1 winning Pornichet - part-owned by Segenhoe & partners.
- Other Black type performers in the Segenhoe Racing team include Angel Bee, Breakfast In Bed, Brulee, Diamond Glow, Glenbawn Dame, Houston Benefactor, Sugarparma and Sweetner.
- These fillies and mares progress to the Segenhoe broodmare band - which includes 20 stakes winners & another 10 stakes placed getters.
- Segenhoe Racing is committed to training thoroughbreds to achieve the best possible results on the track and increase the value of our thoroughbred assets. We currently have interests in approximately 50 racehorses with up to half of those in training at any one time.
- Currently, we have 20 boxes at Royal Randwick under the watchful eye of former G1 winning jockey Peter Robl - who secured his NSW trainers licence after time spent with David Vandyke and as foreman for John Sargent.
- In addition to Robl - Segenhoe has horses in training with Toby Edmonds, Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, John Sargent, Team Snowden, Darren Weir, Chris Waller, Mick Price & Rod Northam.
- All of Segenhoe’s Racing stock spell at the Segenhoe Spelling Complex, Segenhoe Stud’s purpose built spelling property.
