Choice performance for Segenhoe’s Celebrity
While it may have only been a Rosehill barrier trial over 900m, it was the manner in which the Segenhoe Thoroughbreds Australia-owned Celebrities Choice won that caught the eye of many keen judges.
A purchase from the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $450,000 from the draft of Coolmore Stud, the three-year-old filly is by Champion sire Redoute’s Choice out of the winning Peintre Celebre mare Celebria.
A full-sister to the Group Three Gold Coast Guineas winner Florentina and a half-sister to the Group One Railway Stakes winner Gathering, the Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes-trained filly counts Group One winners Umatilla, Hurricane Sky, Al Maher, Manhattan Rain, Platinum Scissors and even her very own sire Redoute’s Choice as close relations – this filly literally has “blue blood” pulsing through her veins!
