Clockwork Orange makes it back to back for Lindsay Park & Fairway
After an impressive second up victory at Pakenham – the More Than Ready 3 year old filly – Clockwork Orange made it back to back wins when she stepped out on the Geelong Synthetic on Tuesday.
From the well-bred family of muliptle Group winning mare – Private Steer – the Lindsay Park/Fairway connection struck again with Clockwork Orange gathering up the leaders in the last 200m to score impressively.
The Segenhoe bred filly was part of a succesful 2015 Inglis Easter Yearling Draft which included the likes of So Serene (Exceed & Excel x Radharncnafarriage) Great Southern (Husson x Bel Mer) Manuel (Commands x Girl Hussler) Canalasso (Fastnet Rock x Avenue) and Fabvier (Fastnet Rock x Swiss Rose).
Trainer David Hayes mentioned post-race, “It was a harder race – but a more impressive win. The further she goes the better she will be. I’m sure we can now target her at city races and hopefully pick off some black-type.’
Clockwork Orange is bred & raced by Fairway Thorougbreds. Her dam – Private Steer a winner of the G1 Doncaster , Stradbroke and All Aged Stakes – also has a 2 year old Pierro filly – called Satellites – which will race in the Fairway colours.
