Kisses All Round
Having just turned four, our Encosta de Lago mare Water Kiss had her first start for trainer Toby Edmonds on Saturday, contesting Race 4: Unilever Handicap over 1200m at the Gold Coast.
Starting well in the market, the well-bred mare settled behind the leader and as they rounded the home turn, jockey Jackson Morris allowed the mare to come out wide, and once she knew why she was there, she knuckled down well to take the race by three-quarters-of-a-length.
Purchased from the draft of Murulla Stud at the 2012 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Water Kiss is a daughter of the Spinning World mare Kishkat.
Having now had 11 starts, the talented mare has recorded two wins and a further three placed efforts.
