Segenhoe sold $600K More Than Ready filly wins in South Africa
Having been placed in her first three starts, More Than Ready’s Ektifaa had no trouble breaking through impressively at her fourth time out.
The Mike De Kock trained filly started a raging hot favourite and duly won comfortably by two lengths at Vaal when having her first start since May.
Ektifaa is by More Than Ready and the first foal of Stellar Vinia (by Varick), a half-sister to champion NZ sprinter and miler Calveen along with stakes winners Kosi Bay, Fireworks and Striker.
Bred by John Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds she was offered at the 2015 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in the draft of Segenhoe Stud, selling to Shadwell Australia for $600,000.
Stellar Vinia has an un-raced two-year-old by Sepoy named Stellara, a yearling by Sebring and went back to Sebring last season.
