John Sargent makes a compelling case for the irresistibly handsome Iggi Pop to see out the gruelling two mile Queensland Cup at Eagle Farm tomorrow.

The Warwick Farm trained gelding is well-equipped to run the trip says Sargent who ought to know, having enjoyed major success in two mile races across the Tasman.

“Iggi Pop is bred to get the distance, he’s out of a St Leger winner in New Zealand by Savabeel, a Cox Plate winner, so the trip shouldn’t be a worry and he’s as fit as I can get him,” Sargent said.
